The hesitancy to take the COVID-19 vaccines from people in wealthy countries is alarming. Staying locked up in our homes for over a year is abnormal. COVID isn’t just the flu, it kills people.
To date, roughly 60% of Americans 18 years old and up have been vaccinated, which is far from enough to reach herd immunity. Around 187.6 million Americans have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Let’s hope that this percentage goes up drastically in future weeks, as 12+ are now eligible for the approved vaccines across the 50 states. There are now around 51,000…
Humans, well some of them, tend to reminisce past life twists (the ugly and the beautiful).
A portion of the population is more in touch with their emotions, their feelings and their reality in all of its forms. Many know better who they are and what they want from their lifetime.
This isn’t the case for everyone. We shouldn’t let it break our sensitive hearts. The battle will be a short escapade, even when the sky gets darker and darker. Be high-spirited, remain true to you. Most important, don’t compare yourself to others.
If you can find a meaning to…
The images and clips coming from India are staggering. In one way, it is kind of selfish to complain about lockdown measures here in North America, when we take a look at what is going on elsewhere on the globe, where cases keep going up.
The situation is getting out of control in hospitals where resources such as oxygen supplies are running out. This leaves no chance to people who are suffering the most from the disease.
For the past few days, India has been reporting more than 300,000 cases every day. Over 3,000 Indians are dying daily. Let’s not…
In the midst of a global pandemic, and as summer approaches, Benny Sings released his new album, Music.
Looking for tremendous jams during quarantine? Look no further than Benny Sings’ new album, Music.
A basic name for an album that gives us a little bit more than what is on radios at the moment. His pitchy voice is unique and make heads turn around. Between folk and indie pop, his projects are getting lots of traction online.
The way he moves around rhythm with the electronic keyboard is impressive. Undeniably, it has a peculiar R&B touch to it. …
For 8 years, music fans have been on the edge of their seats, waiting for the return of the two French robots. That comeback will never happen. A few weeks ago, the legendary French duo decided to part ways after 28 years of collaboration. Daft Punk changed the world of music not only with their unique electro beats, but also by the way they disclosed their art and their messages. An entire generation will only keep good memories of their rhythmic vibes that brighten up our days.
They collaborated with the biggest names in the industry, breaking barriers along the…
Facebook to remove COVID-19 vaccine misinformation from its platform
It is not the first time, and it won’t be the last, that we are addressing the issue of fake news and misinformation on social media. The pandemic has only exacerbated this reality.
Last week, Facebook announced that they will remove posts that have been debunked by public health experts when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines. The misinformation policy was updated. This will also apply to Instagram, being owned by Facebook.
I’m Thinking of Ending Things, a masterpiece signed Charlie Kaufman
In September, the movie I’m Thinking of Ending Things was released and it changed the way I perceived art and cinematography.
Being released during a pandemic, didn’t really allow the movie get the traction it deserved, in my opinion. Online, you can find many interpretations of the film. The best one may be your personal one; as soon as you finish the over two hours feature film.
To be honest, if you didn’t get anything out of that movie, you didn’t think about it enough or you may have been…
Authentically Brilliant: Neon Trees New Album
To be honest, this article was supposed to be published back in July, just after the new Neon Trees album came out. I slept on in for a while. Life experiences made me think about the angle this one needed to take. Crazy how some lyrics can mean so much more when you’ve lived them and went through some bruising moments.
Back in 2014, the colourful music group Neon Trees got everyone’s attention with Pop Psychology. That project remains to this day a vibrant pop album that had everyone dancing in clubs.
The world will never be the same. This is a fact, unlike those given by Trump and the US coronavirus task force team. Everything will change, from the way we interact with others to the products we consume on a daily basis. What is happening is surreal, no one could have predicted a virus capable of so much damage. Consistently watching the news- with new developments happening by the hour- can be overwhelming.
For some, this unbelievable situation may bring lots of anxiety in their new temporary life. We are required to change the way we are living; no more…
The Democratic race is over. A pandemic is taking place as we speak. Most of us are stuck inside, with no end in sight. Dr. Kathleen Neuzil, director of the Center for Vaccine Development at the University of Maryland’s School of Medicine, said that millions of Americans could die, because of complications related to the COVID-19 virus. No, the country’s businesses won’t all reopen at the same time on Easter.
