Wave the Old World Goodbye

In the movie Moonlight, this is where the two main characters meet as adults and reconnect. Jimmy’s East Side Dinner, in Miami. Google Maps and designed in Canva.

Humans, well some of them, tend to reminisce past life twists (the ugly and the beautiful).

A portion of the population is more in touch with their emotions, their feelings and their reality in all of its forms. Many know better who they are and what they want from their lifetime.

This isn’t the case for everyone. We shouldn’t let it break our sensitive hearts. The battle will be a short escapade, even when the sky gets darker and darker. Be high-spirited, remain true to you. Most important, don’t compare yourself to others.

If you can find a meaning to your existence and live every day accordingly, you’ve just won the jackpot, the ultimate prize. You don’t need to worry about the winning ticket. Don’t look at those Lotto cards while buying some gum at the cash.

The rainy days are just a stepping stone, the sun will show its face again. The weatherman does the demonstration of that every night at 11PM.

Just accept the storm and acknowledge what you are going through. It may feel like you have two feet submerged in water. Boots aren’t waterproof, and it gets on your nerves.

You wish that this was happening to someone else. Flooding is brutal, there isn’t anything stronger than nature. It just happens for a reason, and you need to tough it out as it is unfolding.

You will come out on the other side stronger. Stronger: one of Usher’s song from his album Hard II Love. “Walk through fire, now I’m fireproof. Forever wear these scars like tattoos. Finally found paradise in my view.’’

There is nothing better than getting back up after going through adversity and someone breaking your heart. It gets better, you will soon find out. Surround yourself with powerful and positive individuals.

Consensus over fight. Quality over quantity. It didn’t come easy, but the best gladiators have forged their character in time.

Life’s so magnificent when you commit yourself to it.

It is normal to see the big picture and think about others. If we take that away from us, we are taking part of ourselves.

Stay far away from party poopers and negative souls, since they don’t have a clue about what they are looking for out of life. They have no passions; they are on a highway, looking for nothing particular.

Those with a heart tend to put themselves in others shoes. Well, it is perfectly normal to feel sad when you see images from Hong Kong, when citizens aren’t getting the basic rights every human deserves. Liberty and freedom of speech isn’t unattainable, though it seems like it is these days. You feel sympathy and are sick to your stomach when you hear about the treatment that some civilians are facing. Right now, kids are being taking away and women lose all their dignity and soul when they are tortured by army forces in Nigeria.

Here and there, you are probably wondering if you are the only one in the entire world that feels what you are going through when a rough patch comes along.

Accepting the unknown can be stressful at moments. We would love to have the answers to everything, the keys to all the locks in the galaxy.

Just accept that when you look out your window at night, all the stars can see you. One lost smile is just the beginning of something out of your imagination. One star is waiting for you on the other side of the curtain.

When the pandemic ends, when lost souls finds each other once more, you’ll be able to experience these emotions.

Let’s wave the old world goodbye and look to the shining future.

Hearts always heel. Birds always sing. Seasons always change. But you don’t have to.

If ever you’re reading this, you are not alone. This will boost your positivity. I’m right here with you, virtually of course.
